The PeduliLindung application has begun to be implemented in the Nusa Dua tourism area, South Kuta District, Badung Regency, Bali.

This is to improve security and comfort for visitors and tourists, whether they come, live and have activities there.

The use of the PeduliLindung application as an implementation of the COVID-19 digital tracing program in tourism locations. This program was previously launched by the Ministry of Health, the Bali Provincial Government (Pemprov), PT International Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) and the Indonesian Tourism Industry Association (GIPI) Bali.

“We welcome the digital tracing program through the QR Code PeduliLindung application which is intended to support the management of tourism locations that are free from COVID-19,” said Managing Director of The Nusa Dua I Gusti Ngurah Ardita in a written statement received. secondsTravel, Thursday (29/7/2021).

Ardita said the use of the PeduliLindung application in the area was carried out by providing a quick response (QR) code at each tourist location such as hotels, restaurants and other facilities. This QRCode must be scanned by every visitor.

Currently, there are 15 hotels, 6 facilities, Peninsula Island, as well as the ITDC Office in The Nusa Dua area that already has the QRCode for the Cares for Protection application. The QRCode is installed at the entrance of each location.

“We believe that the implementation of the QRCode PeduliLindung in The Nusa Dua area will greatly assist our tenants in monitoring visitor density and knowing risk indicators based on the maximum capacity of the hotel and managed facilities,” said Ardita.

“As for visitors, the use of this QR Code will make it easier for them to know the capacity and availability of places at the locations visited,” he added.

Ardita said, there are two QR Codes provided by each tenant, namely for check-in and check-out. Visitors who have scanned the QRCode check-in will automatically be registered as temporary residents at the location visited until they scan check-out.

With this system, visitor data will be stored completely in a web-based dashboard owned by each tenant for easy tracking. If later there is an indication of a COVID-19 case, then visitors who are in the same location will automatically be counted as people under surveillance (ODP) or part of the tracing so that they can get treatment in a fast time.

Ardita explained, the application of the PeduliLindung application at The Nusa Dua complements a number of ITDC efforts in mitigating the spread of COVID-19. Moreover, The Nusa Dua was proclaimed as a green zone or a COVID-19 free area to support the recovery of Bali tourism.

Currently, the area and all tenants have implemented a certified health protocol-based governance according to the cleanliness, health, safety and environmental sustainability (CHSE) protocol. In addition, ITDC has also completed a vaccination program for all workers in the area and the community in the buffer villages.

“We have a commitment to continue to improve regional governance based on health protocols, so that the Nusa Dua area can become a safe and comfortable destination of choice for tourists and people who want to vacation or do other activities in the era of the new life order,” he explained.

“We also invite the public to remain disciplined in health protocols in their daily activities so that they can support the reduction in the number of COVID-19 transmissions,” he said.
