He also hopes that all the works of dangdut musicians, such as Sara Fajira, can bring dangdut to the international scene and win the Grammy Awards.
So that the stretching of the Indonesian music industry can again open up business opportunities and employment opportunities for the community after the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Hopefully, signing a fantastic contract can bring pride to Indonesia,” said Sandiaga Uno on Thursday (22/7/2021).

He also expressed his gratitude for the attention and full support given by the government.
“Thank you for inviting Sara to join, hopefully we can bring the name of Indonesia. Let’s pray the best for Indonesia. Thank you for the opportunity,” said Sara Fajira.
Fitri Karlina said the same thing. He hoped that the Covid-19 case in Indonesia would end soon, so that the music industry in the country, especially dangdut, could revive.
Considering that the music industry is able to drive other creative economic sectors, ranging from fashion, craft to culinary. One of the initiatives of the Indonesian Consulate General in the United States is to promote dangdut music through the Dangdut Cafe in New York.
“High appreciation to the Menparekraf, Kemenparekraf, and the Consul General who have brought Ipop-The first Ipop cafe in the world,” said Fitri Karlina.
“Establishing dangdut through coffee. This is the beginning of the struggle, hopefully it can be in harmony with the collaboration, hopefully dangdut can go global,” he said excitedly.
The appreciation conveyed by Fitri Karlina was welcomed by Sandiaga Uno.
He emphasized that the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy will provide full support so that dangdut can be worldwide.
Sandiaga Uno even asked his youngest daughter, Amyra Atheefa Uno to be able to introduce Dangdut Cafe to millennials in the Manhattan area, Queens and a number of other big cities in the United States.
“I ask my friends at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to take concrete steps to support dangdut as an intangible cultural heritage,” said Sandiaga Uno.
“The presence of Amyra is expected to coordinate millennial children in Manhattan, Queens and others to be able to support Dangdut Cafe in New York,” he concluded excitedly.
