Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is an icon of religious tourism in Aceh Province. Could this be a religious tourist destination while on vacation to Aceh later.

The rain had just fallen and soaked the floor of the mosque. Slowly, the orange light from the sun penetrated the clouds that were originally gray, slowly began to lighten. The serene atmosphere adds to the coolness of the heart when you set foot at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque.

It seemed that the visitors were enjoying the atmosphere of the afternoon at that time. A little girl, wearing a pink head scarf, was running with a Micky Mouse balloon in her hand on the floor outside the mosque. He showed off the balloon he was holding to his brother who was sitting on the floor with his father.

The wetness of the mosque does not prevent the enthusiasm of visitors from continuing to tour the mosque. While holding their cell phones, they never stopped capturing every corner of the mosque. Indeed, there is no doubt how magnificent the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque is.

Baiturrahman Great Mosque is a mosque in Banda Aceh and has become an iconic tourism there. Whoever tourists who come for religious tourism to Aceh, surely they will take the time to visit or pray at the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque.

During a visit to the mosque, when Bali Tourism put my shoes in the custody, the guard reminded me not to enter because I was wearing pants at that time. He explained that the regulations for visitors when entering the mosque area are not allowed to wear pants for women.

Then I asked, how about wearing a mukena under her feet? It turned out that they were allowed and the guard allowed entry.

After passing several steps, I also set foot on the floor of the courtyard of the mosque. Masyaallah, I have the opportunity to look directly at one of the grandest mosques in Indonesia.

I kept staring and rolling my eyes as if I didn’t want to miss the slightest corner of the mosque building. The mosque, which was built in 1612 AD by Sultah Iskandar Muda Mahkota Alam, is so magnificent!

The evening light was dramatic. The reflection of the mosque building due to the reflection on the wet floor was the target of my camera.

While walking around, I realized that there were also many people taking pictures with the mosque building in the background. There were also those who sat on the floor chatting and looking at the mosque. The visitors also varied, some were solo, with family, with friends, and some were even in groups.

As for what stole my attention was the giant umbrella that surrounded the mosque. The floor of the mosque which is made of white marble is also shiny and clean. Then I turned my back to the mosque and saw a large, towering minaret.

For your information only, the Baiturrahman Mosque has 7 domes, 4 towers, and 1 main tower. The area of the mosque also increased by approximately 4 hectares. Inside the mosque complex there is a pool and the main tower.

When viewed from the front, there are 5 large black domes. And even during the day it doesn’t feel hot because there are 12 giant umbrellas installed. The marble floors are white, making the courtyard of the mosque a cool place. So crowded with visitors who sit and relax on the floor of the courtyard of the mosque.
